Where Does This Role Fit In?

As a Fire Safety Inspector, you will be an integral part of the Pobl Group’s commitment to health and safety. You'll work alongside other teams to report and address any concerns, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe living environment for our residents. Your role involves regular inspections, testing of fire safety systems, and liaising with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

This role will cover our East properties, which is Gwent and surrounding areas. At times there maybe a requirement for you to support our properties in the West. A Work Van and fuel card are provided.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

  • Experience: Ideally, experience in fire safety, property maintenance, or a similar field. Experience in a social housing or customer-focused environment is a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent communication skills. You should be capable of performing basic building maintenance and have a good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Technical Knowledge: Competence in non-technical fire and smoke alarm testing, basic electrical works, and fire door inspections.
  • Qualifications: A full driving license is essential. You should also be committed to ongoing training in health and safety and fire safety procedures.

What are the pay and benefits? 

  • This is a full time, fixed term role until 31st December 2025. The salary is £ 29,103 for 37 hours per week 
  • The head office base for this role is Newport.
  • It is essential for the successful candidates to have a full drivers licence.
  • The successful candidates will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for.
