Who are Codi Group?

Codi is a not-for-profit with a big heart and an even bigger mission. As Wales’ largest provider of housing, care, and support, we’re here to help people live well, feel supported, and rise to their full potential.

Every day, our teams support nearly 17,000 individuals across Wales with services that make a real and uplifting difference to their everyday lives.

Our name says it all: ‘Codi’ means rise in Welsh. It reflects who we are, where we come from, and our ambition to lift expectations, lift communities, and lift each other.

About the role

Dan Y Mynydd is a brand-new Extra Care scheme for over 50s with care or support needs that blends the freedom of independent living with the reassurance of on-site support. There are 60 self-contained flats for the valued residents along with a day centre.

This is more than just a kitchen—it’s a vibrant community where your passion for food can truly make a difference. If you’re looking for a rewarding role in catering, this is your chance to be part of something exciting from the very start!

As Assistant Chef, you’ll create delicious, nutritious meals for our tenants each day—sourcing fresh ingredients, and ensuring top Health & Safety standards. You’ll support the catering team and design menus that cater to cultural and dietary needs, making mealtimes something everyone looks forward to. Because great food brings people together!

  • Team player – Positive, supportive, and inclusive attitude towards colleagues and tenants.

If this catering role isn’t the right fit for you, we also offer Chef Manager and Food Service Assistant positions, please visit our website to explore these opportunities.
