Where does the role fit in?

Our Supported Accommodation services offer specialised housing solutions for individuals who are homeless and tackling substance or alcohol misuse issues. In your role, you will support our customers on their recovery journey, with the goal of helping them transition into their own tenancies and live independently.

Everyone we support is committed to achieving abstinence or participating in a detox program.

What is great about this role?

This is a highly engaging and rewarding role where you would play a significant part in the people we support’s journey to recovery by delivering the crucial support needed within a 24-hour support setting.

Your day will consist of:

  • Engaging and interacting with the people we support
  • Following a support plan with the individuals that access the service
  • Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
  • Wellbeing checks
  • Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building

Our motivation is to ensure we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role, and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour.

You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

 

 What are the pay and benefits? 

  • Contract: Full-time (37hrs), Permanent position
  • Base: Caerphilly town & Blackwood (Preferred location can be discussed during application and interview stage)
  • Competitive salary: £24,531.00
  • Shift patterns: Days, Waking nights & Weekend day availability (can be discussed during application & interview stage)
  • An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for
  • 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays 
  • Pension scheme

  • Bespoke learning pathway with the support from an experienced Learning and Development team 
  • Internal Progression 
  • Wellbeing and psychological support  
  • Time for Talk service
