As Deputy House Manager Chef in our Abbeyfield North Wales team, you will ensure the wellbeing, health, and safety of our residents while fostering a homely, welcoming, and safe environment within the house. The preparation of nutritious meals throughout the day is central to the role as you play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards that Abbeyfield is renowned for, enriching the lives of our residents in every possible way.
Your role is based primarily at our Abbeyfield house in Llanfairfechan, but you will occasionally need to work at our Abbeyfield houses in Llandudno or Abergele. |

You will work alongside the existing team to lay and clear tables, prepare food and keep the kitchen area clean, tidy and safe. Ideally you will have some experience of working within a commercial kitchen environment, however what is important is a good work ethic, being a quick learner, and being prepared to help out wherever needed. |

| As an Area Assistant Chef, you’ll provide delicious and nutritious meals for our tenants. You’ll be sourcing fresh food, working to a budget, supporting to lead the team alongside the Area Chef Manager and ensuring we are constantly providing a high-quality service in line with food hygiene standards!
Mealtimes are important, so we are looking for someone who can support our teams to create exciting menus and recipes; after all, some of the happiest memories are made around the dinner table. Some of our tenants may have cultural or dietary requirements, we are looking for someone who understands the variety of needs we cater for and strives to provide food that our tenants enjoy.
You’ll be working across two of our state-of-the-art extra care schemes in Aberdare and Pontypridd. |
